About the Employer
Seham and Najma is a registered charity (SC054431) dedicated to supporting asylum seekers and refugees who are among the most vulnerable in our communities. Our volunteers work with a spirit of welcome and community aiming to create a warm and enjoyable space where people could connect, share stories, and enjoy a meal together.
We are incredibly grateful for every volunteer who has been giving their time and effort to make this possible. Thank you for helping build a stronger, more inclusive community.
About the Vacancy
Coordinating our wonderful team of volunteers, making sure they can carry her duites joyfully and with the support they might require. We expect co-ordinators to reliably give us a hand for about two hours most Fridays, usually between 5 and 7pm, at Gorbals Parish Church, were we organise our community meals.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate volunteers and allocate tasks.
- Help organise Friday community meals and activities.
- Communicate with volunteers and support the smooth running of sessions.
- Assist with planning and preparing activities.
Key Competencies
We welcome friendly, reliable and compassionate volunteers who are passionate about supporting asylum seekers and refugees. Previous experience is helpful.
